Parental Responsibility & Age
Guided is designed for students aged 8–18. Users under 18 require a parent or guardian's consent. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their child's use of the app and ensuring it is used appropriately. Guided does not monitor individual conversations.
School Affiliation
Guided is not officially affiliated with any school, government education authority, or examination board unless a formal partnership agreement is in place. Curriculum guidance is provided in good faith based on publicly available information.
Acceptable Use
Guided is for educational purposes only. You agree not to use the service to generate harmful, offensive, or misleading content, to attempt to bypass safety features, or for any purpose other than learning support.
Intellectual Property
The Guided name, logo, and branding are the property of the Guided team. AI-generated tutoring responses are created dynamically and carry no guaranteed intellectual property rights. You may use responses for your personal learning but may not redistribute them commercially.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Guided after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Guided is operated from Berlin, Germany.

What We Collect
App: Student profile information (name, age, school, subjects, learning preferences), conversation history with the AI tutor, and session analytics (Bloom's Taxonomy levels, hint usage, AHA moments).
How We Use It
We use your data to provide and improve Guided, track learning progress, and communicate with you about your account. We do not use your data for advertising.
Third-Party Services
Guided relies on the following third-party services: Anthropic (Claude AI for tutoring responses), Supabase (database, authentication, and hosting), and ElevenLabs (text-to-speech for voice features). Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We encourage you to review them.
Data Processing
Conversations are processed by Claude AI (Anthropic) through secure server-side API proxies. No AI credentials or API keys are stored on your device. Conversations sent to Anthropic are subject to Anthropic's data handling policies.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in Supabase (cloud-hosted). All data is encrypted in transit. Database access is protected by Row Level Security, meaning users can only access their own data. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure.
Children's Privacy
Guided is designed for students aged 8 to 18. Under German law (GDPR Art. 8 / DSGVO), parental consent is required for users under 16. We require parental or guardian oversight for all users under 18. We do not sell children's data. We do not use children's data for advertising or profiling. Data collection is limited to what is necessary for the educational service.
Cookies and Local Storage
The Guided app uses localStorage for session management. No tracking cookies are set.
Your Rights under GDPR
Guided is based in Berlin, Germany, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies. You have the right to: access your personal data, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, export your data in a portable format, and object to certain types of processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond within 30 days.
Data Retention
Data is kept for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Guided. If you request deletion, we will process it promptly.
